A Miracle of Love on Elephant Back – Nongnooch Garden Pattaya Creates a Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience for Couples Amid One of the World’s Top 10 Most Beautiful Gardens, Showcasing Thai Soft Power to the International Stage
Nongnooch Garden Pattaya, Chonburi Province, hosted a heartwarming and extraordinary event, “Marriage Registration on Elephant Back,” to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 9:00 AM. The event offered Thai and international couples a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to begin their married life surrounded by the breathtaking natural beauty of one of the world’s top ten most beautiful gardens.
Mr. Kampon Tansacha, President of Nongnooch Garden Pattaya, assigned Mrs. Phatthanun Khantisukphan, General Manager of Nongnooch Garden Pattaya, to oversee the organization of the event. The ceremony was officially opened by Mr. Narit Niramaiwong, Governor of Chonburi Province, with Mr. Nattawut Anuyotha, Chief District Officer of Sattahip, facilitating the legal marriage registration. The ceremony took place at the Sky Garden, magnificently decorated with tens of thousands of blooming plants and flowers, creating a romantic atmosphere reminiscent of a land of love.
The highlight of the event was a grand traditional Thai wedding procession. Nine couples rode gracefully on nine elephants, accompanied by over 100 performers from Nongnooch Garden Pattaya. This year, more than 100 participants registered to join the celebration. The marriages were legally registered under Thailand’s Marriage Equality Law, reflecting the country’s image as an open and inclusive society that respects love and equal rights for all.
Nongnooch Garden Pattaya continues to create meaningful activities that blend love, culture, and quality tourism, reinforcing Thailand’s Soft Power through distinctive Thai cultural identity—traditional wedding processions, Thai elephants, performing arts, and the beauty of a world-class botanical garden.
All couples who registered their marriage at the event received complimentary access to explore the garden’s 1,700-rai grounds, featuring over 60 beautifully landscaped gardens. They also had the unique experience of receiving their marriage certificate while seated on elephant back and were presented with auspicious plants as souvenirs.
