Ashoka Pillar Moral Leadership Award Ceremony 2025"
Honoring 160 Individuals for Contributions to Buddhism
On May 14, 2025, the Association for Contributions to Buddhism in Thailand held the "Ashoka Pillar Moral Leadership Award Ceremony 2025" at the Maha Chulalongkorn Rajavidyalaya University (MCU) 48th Anniversary Auditorium, Wang Noi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.
This year, Air Chief Marshal Chalit Pukbhasuk, Privy Councilor, presided over the ceremony, which recognized exemplary moral leaders, both monks and laypeople, with a total of 160 awards conferred to recipients from Thailand and abroad.
Among the awardees was Mr. Kamphon Tansatcha, President of Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya, selected by the committee for his continuous efforts in promoting morality and Buddhism.
The Ashoka Pillar Moral Leadership Award is held annually with the primary objectives of:
- Promoting and honoring moral leaders
- Serving as role models for society
- Inspiring the younger generation to uphold ethical principles
The association hopes this award ceremony will raise societal awareness of the importance of morality and encourage the continued preservation of Buddhism.
