Nongnooch Garden Pattaya Hosts a Grand Elephant & Lion Dance Parade to Celebrate Chinese New Year 2026, Bringing Joy to Visitors from Around the World
On Wednesday, 11 February 2026 at 9:00 AM, Nongnooch Garden Pattaya, Chonburi Province, led by Mr. Kampon Tansacha, President of Nongnooch Garden Pattaya, organized a spectacular Chinese New Year 2026 celebration. The highlight of the event was a magnificent parade featuring intelligent elephants performing the traditional lion dance, beautifully reflecting cultural identity while creating excitement and lasting impressions for visitors.
The event was held to preserve and promote the rich cultural traditions of Thai-Chinese communities, ensuring these valuable customs continue to thrive in Thai society. It also aimed to pass on cultural values to youth and both Thai and international tourists. The celebration featured lion dance performances, an auspicious parade, and heavenly angels gracefully dancing to offer blessings for the Chinese New Year. Mr. Kampon, together with the talented elephants, distributed auspicious oranges to visitors, who were delighted and excited to take part in the festivities.
In addition, visitors had the opportunity to pay respect and pray for good fortune during the Chinese New Year festival to sacred figures such as Phra Sangkachai (the Buddha of Happiness, Prosperity, and Wealth), Lord Ganesha (the God of Success), Guanyin (the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion), and Phra Phrom (Brahma, the Creator who determines destiny). Guests could also admire the sculptures of the 12 Chinese Zodiac animals and Buddha statues representing Buddhism from various countries.
There were also live music performances, prize giveaways, and many joyful activities held between 16–17 February 2026.
