His Eminence Somdet Phra Maha Thirachan presided as the monastic head over the enshrinement and eye-opening consecration ceremony of "Phra Sri Ariyametrai Phuttha Phatthara Boromsuk" (Maitreya Buddha), joined by Luang Pu Sila Sirichanto, who performed the consecration and offered blessings. Additionally, Luang Pu Sila consecrated a Buddha statue in the Botanical Garden of the Buddha’s Life (Suan Mai Phutthaprawat) to bestow auspicious blessings upon the event grounds of the International Horticultural Expo in Udon Thani ahead of welcoming visitors.

The organizing site of the International Horticultural Expo in Udon Thani held enshrinement and consecration ceremonies across two key areas. Mr. Watcharapol Khaokham, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, presided over the secular proceedings, while Mr. Rapeephat Chantarasriwong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, served as the principal host and organizer. The ceremonies aimed to bring auspiciousness to the site while harmonizing Buddhist cultural values with the beauty of botanical flora and landscape architecture.

Mr. Rapeephat invited His Eminence Somdet Phra Maha Thirachan, Abbot of Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram (Wat Pho), along with Luang Pu Sila Sirichanto, both of whom attached great importance to the event. They served as pivotal spiritual pillars, ensuring the ceremonies were conducted with the highest honor. This reflects the dedication to transforming the Expo site into a venue rich in natural beauty, educational value, and spiritual solace for both local residents and visitors from around the world.

The Buddha statue enshrined in the Royal Commemorative Building and the Buddha statue within the Botanical Garden of the Buddha’s Life weave the grace of Buddhist art into narratives of Buddhist history amid serene, lush greenery. This offers visitors the opportunity to experience tranquil surroundings while exploring the profound connection between nature and the life of the Buddha.

Meanwhile, Mr. Kampon Tansajja, President of Nongnooch Pattaya Garden, oversaw the landscape design and development for the Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo. The landscaping played an essential role in seamlessly integrating the shrine pavilions and the botanical garden into the overall ambiance of the Expo.

These ceremonies mark a significant milestone in preparing the Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo to welcome global visitors, uniting the splendor of nature with cultural heritage and faith. The venue will offer guests not only an opportunity for leisure and learning, but also a space of profound spiritual peace.
