Nongnooch Pattaya Garden has been selected as a Conservation Center and Repository for the International Heliconia Society. The garden has kept and maintained the largest collection in the world.
Additional species and new hybrids are constantly added through exchange and collections. The estimated total number of species and cultivars of Heliconia is around 600 and the garden has 508 species and cultivars.
