President of Nongnooch Garden Pattaya Receives the “Journalist Honor Award” for 2026  A Prestigious Recognition for Contributions to Society, the Nation, and the Mass Media Industry

On May 10, 2026, at 1:30 PM, at Muang Thai Life Assurance Hall on Ratchadaphisek Road, Bangkok, the Journalists Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage held the “Journalist Honor Award 2026” ceremony to honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the journalism profession, education, society, and the nation.

The ceremony was presided over by former Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai, who also presented the awards. Mr. Nakhon Weeraprawat, President of the Journalists Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, delivered the opening report outlining the objectives of the event.

This year, three distinguished individuals were selected to receive the honorary award for their significant contributions to journalism, education, society, and the nation:

1. Mr. Kampon Tansacha, President of Nongnooch Garden Pattaya, Chonburi Province, who transformed an ordinary fruit orchard into a world-class botanical garden. He is renowned for collecting more than 18,000 species of rare plants, as well as creating animal sculptures and a dinosaur kingdom. Nongnooch Garden Pattaya has been recognized as one of the world’s 10 most beautiful gardens. In addition, the garden has won awards at the Chelsea Flower Show for five consecutive years. Mr. Kampon also established a vocational skills and sports school to promote education and youth development in Thailand.

2. Dr. Supachai Veerapuchong, Secretary-General of the Bodhigaya Vijjalaya 980 Institute, who has played a significant role in promoting and spreading Buddhist teachings on an international level.

3. Mr. Kosolwat Inthuchanyong, Director-General of the Office of Rights Protection and Legal Aid for the People, who has continuously dedicated himself to providing legal knowledge and assistance to the public.

Following the award ceremony, Mr. Kampon Tansacha expressed his gratitude to the Journalists Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage for presenting him with such a prestigious award. He reaffirmed his commitment to continuing his contributions to society, the nation, and Thailand’s tourism industry.

The three award recipients then joined together for commemorative photographs with Chuan Leekpai, the Association President, and members of the Association’s committee amid an atmosphere filled with pride and celebration.
